Industrial Fastener Supply Management

EFS supports purchasing departments and technical departments in the management of industrial fastener and fastening system supplies for mechanical, plant engineering and production applications.
Our role does not concern component design, which remains the customer’s responsibility, but the technical review of the request before the supply process begins. We check consistency between drawings, standards, materials, property classes, surface treatments, certifications and the matching between the elements of the fastening system.
The objective is to provide a single point of contact for order management, coordinating qualified manufacturers, inspections, documentation, packaging and logistics, both for standard supplies and for special or made-to-drawing components.
Technical Review of the Supply
Before production begins, EFS analyzes the documentation received from the customer to identify any technical, production or documentation inconsistencies.
This stage makes it possible to verify whether the request is complete, consistent with the intended application and correctly transferable to the manufacturer.
The activity may include:
- review of technical drawings;
- check of the required standards;
- verification of compatibility between screw, nut and washer;
- check of materials and property classes;
- analysis of the required surface treatments;
- verification of the necessary certifications;
- check of the completeness of the technical documentation.
An accurate preventive review helps reduce the risk of production errors, fit issues, documentation non-conformities or criticalities that may only emerge during assembly, testing or commissioning.
Management of Complex Supplies
EFS coordinates industrial fastener supplies requiring different components, certified materials, specific inspections and orderly order management.
We can manage supplies consisting of standard elements, special components, made-to-drawing parts and complete kits intended for the same application.
Management may include:
- complete assembly kits;
- matched bolts, stud bolts, nuts and washers;
- standard and special components;
- made-to-drawing parts;
- supplies with different materials;
- EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2 certifications;
- dimensional inspections;
- tests and checks required by the order;
- scheduled deliveries;
- multi-lot supplies.
In this way, the customer can rely on a single technical and commercial contact, capable of coordinating the different stages of the supply and simplifying relations with manufacturers, inspection activities and logistics.
Fastener Kits and Complete Fastening Systems
For industrial applications requiring multiple elements to be assembled together, EFS can manage kit supplies consisting of bolts or stud bolts, nuts, washers and other components intended for the same installation.
Kit preparation makes it possible to receive the material already organized according to the quantities and specifications required by the order, simplifying warehouse, identification and assembly activities.
This solution is particularly useful when the customer needs to manage plants, machinery, steel structures, flanges, structures or assemblies that require repeatable and documented supplies.
Documentation, Inspections and Certifications
Supply management may also include the coordination of technical documentation and inspections required by the customer or by the specification.
Depending on the type of component and the final application, EFS can manage material certificates, EN 10204 3.1 and 3.2 certifications, dimensional inspections, checks on surface treatments and the documentation accompanying the supply.
This allows the customer to receive not only the component, but a complete supply that is consistent with the required technical, quality and documentation requirements.
Packaging and Logistics
Supply management does not end with component production. EFS also organizes packaging, labelling, material identification and shipping methods according to the customer’s needs.
We can arrange dedicated packaging, separate kits, lot identification, specific labels and logistics solutions designed to facilitate receipt, storage, internal inspection and subsequent assembly.
Orderly logistics management helps reduce errors during receipt and speed up the customer’s operational activities.
A Single Point of Contact for Industrial Fastener Supplies
Relying on EFS means simplifying the management of industrial fastener supplies, especially when the order requires special components, certified materials, dedicated inspections or scheduled deliveries.
Our role is to coordinate the supply stages, verify the consistency of the request and ensure that the material is produced, inspected, documented and delivered according to the agreed specifications.
