An industrial fastener kit is not a package of standard components, but a kit supply consisting of bolts or stud bolts, nuts and washers intended for the same application and supplied in the quantities required by the order.
This supply method is particularly widespread in the Oil & Gas, energy, plant engineering and machinery construction sectors, where each project requires components consistent with the technical bill of materials, easily identifiable and accompanied by the required documentation.
Stud Bolt, Nut and Washer Kits
The composition of the kit varies according to the application and the customer’s specifications. In most cases, it includes bolts or stud bolts, nuts and washers that are compatible with one another, selected according to the materials, dimensions and characteristics required by the project.
The objective is not to supply material intended for maintenance stock, but to prepare a kit supply dedicated to a specific order, simplifying procurement management and reducing the number of codes to be managed.
Normally, the components are delivered separately and final assembly is carried out by the customer during installation. On request, dedicated packaging or customized supply methods can be arranged.
Kits for Flanges and Critical Applications
Flange kits are among the most requested supplies in the Oil & Gas and process plant engineering sectors, where correct matching between stud bolts, nuts and washers is essential for the proper functioning of the connection.
This aspect is particularly important in supplies with hot-dip galvanizing (HDG), as the coating thickness can affect the fit between the external thread and the internal thread.
On request, EFS can carry out fit checks through go/no-go inspections on a representative sample of the supply, helping to verify component compatibility before delivery.
The same approach is also adopted for kits manufactured in Duplex, Super Duplex and other materials intended for highly corrosive applications or particularly demanding operating conditions.
Kit Supply by Order
Many EFS customers work on an order-by-order basis and require kit supplies organized according to their project bill of materials.
Each order-specific kit is prepared in the required quantities, facilitating the logistical management of supplies and making it possible to receive all the fastening elements needed for a specific plant, skid or assembly phase.

Fastener Kits with Dedicated Dimensional Series
In many industrial projects, a fastener kit includes components that share the same construction geometry but are manufactured in different diameters or lengths to adapt to the various fastening points of the assembly.
This may involve, for example, a series of screws with the same head, the same material, the same property class and the same surface treatment, but produced in different sizes according to the customer’s technical bill of materials.
This solution makes it possible to maintain uniformity in the characteristics of the fastening system, simplify order management and ensure perfect correspondence between each component and the intended assembly position.
It is an approach used, for example, in supplies intended for the railway sector, industrial machinery and complex plants, where a single project may require numerous variants of the same fastening element.
