Surface treatments

In the world of bolting, product quality is a priority, as is choosing the right coating for each individual requirement. These treatments help increase bolt life, enhancing quality perception and user experience.

In many industries, such as aerospace, automotive, construction, and energy, protective coatings play a key role.

Below, you can find the coatings available for our customers:

  • Burnishing also called bronzing or metallochroming is the dark surface coloring of a metal practiced by various methods with the purpose of providing protection against oxidation as well as improving its appearance.
  • Phosphating is a chemical process by which the surface of a metal material is altered, creating phosphate crystals for the purpose of improving corrosion resistance and aiding paint adhesion; it is the universally adopted paint preparation treatment in the automotive industry, as it is essential to achieve the very high corrosion resistance characteristics required of bodies.
  • Geomet® is a water-based coating containing zinc and aluminum in lamellar form, capable of withstanding very high temperatures and giving very high protection to metallic materials from environmental corrosion.
  • Electrolytic Galvanizing is a coating, with different chrome plating, of zinc applied to metal primarily as protection against galvanic corrosion.
  • Hot dip galvanizing is done by immersing steel products in a bath of molten zinc held at an average temperature of 450 °C which results in the steel being coated with a thin, tough layer of zinc. It is considered one of the most effective and durable protections
  • Zinc-Nickel is an innovative electrolytic process based on a ferrous-based deposition of a 12-15% zinc-nickel alloy with natural semi-gloss gray coloring with the possibility of black passivation. Enormously more protective than conventional commercial electrolytic galvanizing.
